It's all about the googly eyes

The month of October has been very busy - lots of birthdays!!

I used one of the stamps from the stamp set I bought from Stampin' Up -the frog from "A flower for all seasons". 'm not the best with flower names but the frog just looks so cute!

I kept with the green theme by using some green cardstock and green ribbon. Using the same (or slightly darker) colour ink as the cardstock, I produced my own pattern with a flower stamp for the background. I think its really simple but very effective! I learnt this technique from the last Stampin' Up class I went to - thanks Kelly!

It was still missing something when I had finished though - GOOGLY EYES!!!

Plain & Simple

I'm sure all crafters have done this. . . . we've forgotten someone's birthday and need to get crafting quickly (and because we're crafter's we can't turn up without a beautifully designed handmade card), so this is my quickest and classy card to date - 20mins max, I promise!

I got this design from my crafting friend Janet so a big thank you to her for this!! All you need is:

White square card and envelope . . . . . . . . . . CHECK
Plain white cardstock . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .CHECK
Any sort of embossing plate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CHECK
Mulberry handmade paper . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CHECK
Ribbon to match . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .CHECK
Greeting stamp . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .CHECK

And voila. The tip: cut out 4 circles from the mulberry paper with diametres of 3,4,5 & 6cm - scrunch them up tight and undo - decorate with brad to add the finishing touch.
